Neftie Card Visual Update - December 2023
Along with our upcoming release (Amber) before the holiday break, we’re deploying a significant update that will affect the visual representation of all Nefties going forward.
Starting today, all Neftie cards in circulation and future hatches will have a new visual format to accommodate new gameplay mechanics that were introduced with the launch of Seekers of Tokane.
Here’s what you can expect:
Standard Nefties will continue to have a scroll background.
Prime Nefties will continue to have a background that reflects the Biome they originate from.
*NEW!* Subspecies: We will introduce a new system called subspecies (more details to come). With over a dozen subspecies planned to be released in the future, this system will allow us to introduce many new Nefties. Currently, all Nefties in circulation are part of the “Primal” subspecies group. This might change in the future, and subspecies could be randomly attributed to existing Nefties.
*NEW!* Rarity Color System: A new rarity system on card frames will also be making its way into SoT, with the five different rarities being:
- One Star (Common) - Grey Frame
- Two Star (Uncommon) - Green Frame
- Three Star (Rare) - Blue Frame
- Four Star (Epic) - Purple Frame
- Five Star (Legendary) - Orange Frame
*NEW!* Elemental System: Now that elements play a big part in SoT, we needed to include them on the Neftie cards themselves. As a reminder, below are the six elements currently available, along with arrows indicating the elements that they are strong against:
This will be the first of multiple updates that we’re excited to deploy before the end of the year. Stay tuned for our upcoming Amber release, which will bring additional polishing and new features to our economy, Nefties, expeditions, matchmaking, game hub, and more!
